Scholarships
The
Freeman Nurse Scholars Program is a scholarship program
for outstanding RN students who wish to practice in Vermont following
graduation. It is funded by a gift from the Stowe-based Freeman
Foundation.
Loans
and student aid
The Vermont
Student Assistance Corp. was created in 1965 as a public
nonprofit agency to help Vermonters who want to go to college or
other training after high school. They provide grants, loans, scholarships,
career and education planning, and general information about how
you, or others in your family, can get the education you want.
Nursing
Loan Forgiveness and Repayment Program
The Nursing
Educational Loan Repayment Program is funded by the State
of Vermont, through the Department of Health for nurses (RN or LPN)
working in Vermont. It is administered by the University of Vermont,
College of Medicine, Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program.
The goal of the program is to ensure a stable and adequate supply
of nurses (LPNs and RNs) to meet the needs of delivering care to
Vermonters.
