The Vermont Student Assistance Corp. was created in 1965 as a public nonprofit agency to help Vermonters who want to go to college or other training after high school. They provide grants, loans, scholarships, career and education planning, and general information about how you, or others in your family, can get the education you want.

Nursing Loan Repayment Program

The Nursing Educational Loan Repayment Program is funded by the State of Vermont, through the Department of Health for nurses (RN or LPN) working in Vermont. It is administered by the University of Vermont, College of Medicine, Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program. The goal of the program is to ensure a stable and adequate supply of nurses (LPNs and RNs) to meet the needs of delivering care to Vermonters.
